About Us

Booksatpbfa Limited is the company which runs this website. It was set up by the Provincial Booksellers Fairs Association (PBFA) to build and run a bookselling website for it's members. The directors of this company are Frank Allinson, Jean Hedger and Chris Saunders.

All booksellers on this site are members of the PBFA or another association of booksellers with a similar Code of Professional Conduct.

If you have a problem with a purchase you should first of all try and sort it out with the seller concerned. If you feel that you cannot come to a satisfactory conclusion contact us and we will mediate. We are able to bring sanctions to bear on sellers if they do not act as they should, and will not hesitate to do so.

The PBFA has over 700 members and runs over 130 bookfairs a year in the UK - and one in Ireland. It started in 1974 with 20 members and has grown steadily. All members have to be proposed by existing members who have known and traded with them. Many members specialise in certain areas, many are generalists. Some trade from shops, some from offices, some from home. They all share a love of books, and are happy to share their knowledge with you.
